UC Davis Arboretum All-Stars

UC Davis Arboretum All-Stars logoThe UC Davis Arboretum All-Stars program is here! High Ranch Nursery is one of 3 growers offering these proven performers to retail outlets. We are currently growing about 50 of the 100 All-Stars.  All-Stars are field tested and proven to perform well in the valley. Most are drought tolerant, provide form and color and aesthetic beauty, provide wildlife habitat, and are easy-to-grow. All meet the criteria of "sustainable" - that is: have low water use, low chemical use (little or no pesticides or fertilizers required), lower maintenance, and are ecologically sound in matching the plants to the local climate and soil needs.
